The 1976 Montreal Olympic Games, the athlete was a global sensation by scoring the very first perfect ten in the history sports. She then went on and achieved six other flawless 10s. This resulted in her being the youngest Olympic medalist all around, aged just 14. The Romanian gymnast did not only attracted attention from every angle however, she also assisted in helping Romania get its place on the global map. By achieving a score that was not possible and a sporting legend, she brought gymnastics to the forefront of international interest. Also, it changed the way people think about female gymnasts. Her impact was so significant at her participation in the Olympics that even the uneven bar competition includes two movements named in honor of her toe-on and release move, which are, till date, considered to be at an extremely difficult and level.
