Dolly-Parton

born on January. 19th, 1946, in Locust Ridge Tenn into a low-income family that would ultimately comprise 12 kids Dolly Parton learned early to overcome the challenges of her living through her vibrant and broad imagination. Her songs were written before she was able to write or read. After getting her first instrument at age of eight, she started performing at radio stations in Knoxville, Tennessee. She recorded her first album within the same calendar year on Gold Band Records, a small independent label. While she was a local star while in the high school years, her goals were greater. In 1964, the day that followed her graduation from high school her family moved to Nashville. Dumb Blonde, Something Fishy and Dumb Blonde both charted on Monument Records in 1967. Porter Wagoner had been looking for a female singer for his show that was syndicated at this point. Parton became a member of Grand Ole Opry 1969 after contracting in 1969 with RCA Records. The year 1974 was the first that she decided to leave Wagoner's show because the success of her solo albums like Joshua Coat, Many Colors, and Jolene exceeded their collective efforts. The two split in 1974, Parton wrote the song I Will Always Love You for Wagoner and it debuted at No. Its first appearance at number 1 was in 1974.
