Fawn Mckay
Fawn McKay was born 15 September 1915, in Ogden Utah. Fawn, a member of the Mormon Church's oldest family, combined her literary talents and exceptional research abilities to create a stunning biography of Joseph Smith. No Man knew My History appeared in 1945. It was derived from the title of a sermon given by Joseph Smith in 1844. In the sermon, he stunned his listeners with his words: "You are not my friend and you have never heard my thoughts. No one knows about my past. No one knows my history. Fawn has written the 29-year-old Fawn. From that point, at least three writers have stood up to the challenge. A lot of them have denigrated him and some have deified him; a few have attempted to make a clinical diagnosis it is not just that the documents do not exist, but it is rather that they are fiercely contradictory. The task of assembling the papers -in order to distinguish first-hand sources from a third-party plagiarism and to then put Mormon and non Mormon narratives together into an authentic mosaic, is not an simple task. I find it both fascinating and fascinating. FawnBrodie took on this professional project with gusto and enthusiasm.
